Competition & Fear

in Fear

After noticing it prominently in several places recently, have been wanting to capture my thoughts on this topic of competition and fear before they flutter away.

Competition is that awful lie that exists in the world which dictates to us that we are short of resources, love and healing here on the planet. It is a lie that pits us against each other in a scramble for what we think we need in order to survive. We don't have to look very far to see evidence of this. It is there in every aspect of our lives - from world politics, to business, relationships, love, time, money, food and just plain old 'stuff'.

It's easy for me to explain what I mean by drawing on my experience of working with conscious businesses. Part of my job is to be able to spot when a business owner is creating from a place of fear...not that I believe there is anyone who doesn't second-guess themselves at one point or another. But what does this really mean? Creating from a place of fear?

One of the things about checking out online businesses is the inspiration that comes when I stumble across websites with an unapologetic air of grace, confidence and poise. They demand nothing but the utmost respect and validation from their clients in exchange for the unique and non-negotiable gift that they have to share. It could be the humblest enterprise but we just know that they are simply regal in the way that they run their affairs. Similarly, it is also possible to pick out the businesses who appear frantic, anxious or even those whose businesses practices we suspect are not above board. These are the ones with an uneasy undertone beneath their pitch. Sometimes the desperation is so loud we can almost physically hear their pleas.

Sadly, their ability to attract generous, validating customers who can more than afford to pay their fees, would be happy to make referrals and introduce key contacts gets compromised in a huge way. They fail to realise how intuitive people really are and that once their ideal customers get a whiff, they go running for the hills. More appropriately, they end up attracting the clients who have the same low levels of validation for themselves, who begrudgingly and unappreciatively pay for their services and the cycle continues from there. It becomes easy for these people and their businesses to sink further and further into the heavy energies of worry and lack. They are running their businesses from a place of fear.

And the same goes for relationships and love. We've all known the gorgeous girls with no self-esteem always with guys who can either manipulate or afford to buy their silence. These girls have little self-appreciation or worth and are unable to enjoy, embrace or unleash their inner God Selves. How many of these girls are strangers to themselves and to the world, settling for lives and relationships which limit their chances of ever finding and loving themselves? They are caught in a quagmire of deficiency and invalidation. They are creating their relationships from a place of fear.

How do we move from creating from a place of fear into a place of creating with confidence, abundance, ease and joy?

1. We must acknowledge that competition is a lie and that a consciousness of lack begets more lack

We must recognise that it is our fundamental nature as creatures of the universe to be abundant and that our spirits know how to do this naturally and effortlessly...if we can get out of its way.

2. Ask oneself key questions as a means towards becoming self-aware

For example, if you have your own business ask yourself, "If I'm really honest, does my tone makes my customers feel uncomfortable or unsure?", or "Am I really attracting the business contacts and customers that can appreciate, nurture and validate the best of what I have to give?". In the case of relationships, "Do I feel like people aren't really seeing the REAL me?" or "Do I feel like I have so much more to give but just don't know who I am, what to do or how to begin?".

3. Once you have the answers to these questions, recognise it as a MOMENTOUS occasion!

The moment at which you can earnestly admit the truth to yourself represents the moment at which you become self-aware! Once you have seen even a flash of this truth, even if you don't know as yet how to, know that you have reached the point at which you can consciously choose to create more authentic and validating experiences!

4. Know that intention is a POWERFUL force

Once you give your spirit the go-ahead, it will start you on an enchanted path of self-discovery, healing and adventure, bringing to you all the people and resources you need to help you learn self-trust.

5. Follow these leads from Spirit

You hear it as the little voice within! Open up to the universe so that it can support and evolve your dreams and visions in ways that none of us can ever singlehandedly achieve. Each one of you is what a BIG, creative and inspired spirit looks like in this realm...you simply need to step aside and let the miracles of the universe come in.
